Not sure how I missed playing this one when it came out several months ago, but I did. I recall a friend telling me I should try Crackdown, but I passed on it after looking at the cover art... I know, how shallow of me. From now on I won't do that. I have a confession as well. I did the same thing with Halo when it was first released, and it took the pestering of that same friend for me to finally try it and see what all this Halo fanaticism was about. Let that be a lesson to you. Never judge a game by its cover art. With Crackdown, the cover art gave me the impression that the game was a generic, cookie-cutter run-n-gun beat-em-up. What I found, though, was that it's actually a very good cookie-cutter run-n-gun beat-em-up. While it's not without its flaws, Crackdown shouldn't disappoint anyone looking for a short but sweet session of beating the mess out of an endless army of baddies.
